Applying to join the lab

To apply to become a Ph.D. student into the Probabilistic Machine Learning (ProbML) laboratory at Montana State University, please send the following standard application materials:

  1. A 2-4 page research statement (“statement of purpose”)
  2. A 1-2 page curriculum vitae
  3. Transcripts
  4. Names, positions, and email addresses of 3 references (who can attest to your potential to do research)

Optionally, if you have them, please also send

  1. A writing sample
  2. GRE scores

Finally, this is quite optional, but if you’d like, you may also send

  1. A 1-2 page personal statement
